Round 3 of the FIA World Rally Championship, the Cyprus Rally is one of the world’s major motorsport events.

It attracts the world’s top drivers and teams who compete over three days to win points towards their respective championships.

Spectators from across the globe come to Cyprus for the event, along with media who broadcast their coverage internationally.

The 2009 Cyprus Rally will be a mixed surface event.

A WRC first! The organizers of the Cyprus event, the Cyprus Automobile Association (CAA),

 have been quick to take advantage of the WRC commission’s ruling allowing events to incorporate alternate surfaces.
